NKT.M.Jeyagopal

NKT.M.Jeyagopal, born in 1968, started practicing yoga in 1988. He has gained a complete understanding of the grand wisdom- Yoga. The brilliant wisdom of yoga revealed to him the path that he had to follow. He has been initiated into Karma Sannyasa Diksha on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya in 2012. He has been named as “Sannyasi Shiva Rishi” by his Guru Swami Niranjan.2013, marks the completion of 25 years of his yoga practice and 20 years as a yoga teacher.

His voice is perhaps the most powerful tool. Being able to confidently direct a group of people in and out of postures using only words can be challenging enough, but doing it in a smooth and clear way that maintains the flow of the class is a trademark of NKT.M.Jeyagopal. He has the ability to make everyone feel connected to him.

He understands very well that the purpose of the yoga class is not about students’ own practice. It’s to lead and support the students through an experience of yoga and with this in mind he teaches and demonstrates postures that are suitable for the level of the class. He is happy to share his wisdom and knowledge openly and enthusiastically.

His authentic personality is more about warmth and compassion and he teaches from his heart and has the ability to create a really beautiful and uplifting class.

He caters to all levels. These days, many yoga classes are open level, which means there will be a range of abilities, from beginners to advanced. Yoga can be intimidating for beginners and it’s a real skill for a teacher to make them feel supported and included without compromising the challenge for the more advanced students. He does this very efficiently. This is the secret of his success.
